Gail has been appointed by the Fulbright Board to the roster of Fulbright  Specialists, a program of the US State Department.  Designed for  senior  professors and professionals who are recognized for excellence in their fields, Gail has collaborated with universities in Southeast Asia to build programs for  improving leadership and innovation in companies, supporting governmental goals for transforming their economies.  In the process, Gail has become a big supporter of the "education to employment" movement.

Gail's contribution to the Edison Awards as a judge since 2008 reinforces  her intense interest in helping companies that are truly innovative and  impactful.  She believes that our country's biggest challenge is to create  new competitive advantage, and to build intellectual capital with innovative  services that have global markets.  Gail agrees with Edison - - invention  is only worthwhile if it is useful and has a market.   Gail also  serves on the Screening Committee and leads venture capital outreach efforts  for Edison Awards.
